Dear

Thank for getting in touch with us to provide your feedback after attending an event with us, I'm sorry to hear that you had a negative experience.

Given the large volume of patrons utilising the station during peak times, there is a requirement to put the barriers in place to assist with the free flow of patrons through the corrals and into the Station areas. It is vital to manage the loading of the platforms in the event of an emergency or a rail issue. It also allows us to safely hold patrons in the corrals, avoiding the major risk of crowd crush on the station platform or access stairs.

The number of barriers and configuration is adjusted based on the number of patrons expected to utilise the service for different events and at different times. Our staff in these areas monitor the leaving crowd closely, in conjunction with Event Control who are watching on the cameras, to ensure we are able to open the barriers and shorten the walk for patrons, as soon as the crowd dies down.

For those with accessible and mobility needs, we do allow access through the gate to the left as you move through under the bridge which provides a shorter walking distance. There is a staff member positioned on this gate, along with a permanent member of our team, to assist with access. Post event this can be a challenging area to work in, however I would agree that a more sensitive approach could have been taken by the members of staff you spoke with.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback, it has also been passed on to our Stadium Park Management team.
