Thank you for your feedback. Patrons are encouraged to plan their visit to Optus Stadium, particularly those who may be less familiar with the venue and surrounds. Information about getting to Optus Stadium is available on our website - Getting Here
There are no public drop off facilities at Optus Stadium; this is to limit the number of vehicles in the vicinity of the stadium to avoid causing delays with the public transport services.
Prior to, and following, a major event there is traffic management in place to restrict vehicle access. Patrons are encouraged to use public transport or the dedicated taxi rank, located next to the stadium train station.
Allowing private vehicle access would cause considerable congestion, including significantly impacting major roads such as the Great Eastern Highway, Canning Highway and Graham Farmer Freeway.
If 10% of patrons attending a major event, were to use private vehicles or ride share to drop off, it would be the equivalent of the capacity of Karrinyup Shopping Centre car park arriving in the same period of time.
Please be advised that for the above reasons, there are no plans to incorporate a drop off zone at Optus Stadium.
