Accessible seating areas are managed differently from other general public seating to help ensure these locations remain available for patrons who require them and to accommodate a variety of accessibility needs. This may include wheelchair positions, companion seating, easy access seating and other accessibility requirements.
Most events have three options for purchasing accessible seating – online via Ticketmaster, the Ticketmaster Accessible Booking Request Form and the Ticketmaster Accessible Phone Number.
We acknowledge the benefits of online seat selection, accessible seating arrangements often involve additional considerations. Some patrons requiring accessible seating may prefer not to purchase tickets online and rely on assisted booking channels. These processes are intended to help ensure accessible seating remains available for those who require it and that patrons receive seating appropriate to their individual needs.
Another factor is that, if wheelchair and other accessible seating locations were made available through the interactive map process, there is a risk that patrons without accessibility requirements may inadvertently or deliberately purchase these seats. This could reduce the availability of accessible seating for patrons who genuinely require it and create challenges in ensuring appropriate access is available for those with accessibility needs.
While we are unable to confirm any future changes to the ticketing platform or booking processes, I have forwarded your comments for consideration as part of ongoing reviews to our venue Ticketing Manager.
